Our Mission
West Point Society of Washington – Mission Statement
The West Point Society of Washington is more than a community—it is a legacy of leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to the principles of Duty, Honor, Country.
Our mission is to strengthen the bonds between West Pointers, empower Veterans, and inspire future leaders, ensuring that the Long Gray Line continues to make an impact in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We achieve this by:
Building Lifelong Connections: We foster camaraderie among graduates and friends of West Point through social events, mentorship, and career networking, ensuring a strong and supportive community.
Empowering Veterans & Transitioning Leaders: Our career transition programs connect service members with corporate recruiters from top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Starbucks, helping them find meaningful opportunities in the civilian sector.
Inspiring the Next Generation: Through admissions support, scholarships, and leadership programs like the Summer Leader Experience (SLE), LEADS workshops, and STEM initiatives, we open doors for students with the potential to serve at the highest levels.
Strengthening Leadership & Innovation: We collaborate with industry leaders on Academic Individual Advanced Development (AIAD) programs, placing Cadets in fields like AI, cloud computing, and digital transformation, preparing them to lead in an ever-evolving world.
How We Operate
Our Society thrives through the generous contributions of alumni, friends, and sponsors who share our vision of service and excellence. We invite all members of the West Point community to engage with us—whether through active participation, mentorship, sponsorship, or philanthropy.
Annual dues, due by March 31st, sustain our mission and operations. Donations and sponsorships directly support our efforts to empower Veterans, inspire students, and strengthen our network.
